A few weeks before Christmas, I met with local artist Tricia Wellings to undertake a shoot, and short interview about her wonderful artwork. Tricia works with charcoal, and specialises in unique portraits of animals. Having travelled extensively, exhibiting both nationally and internationally, Tricia is now based in Chichester where her work now reflects her personal passion for animals. To date, her eye has been caught by cats, dogs and farm animals, but her love of horses has developed her portfolio to include detailed and sensitive equine portraits. I was recently asked to undertake a shoot for Vonna, an aspiring model who is more than happy to work with props and pose. In February 2012 I will be off to Barcelona to photograph the Formula One pre season testing. Thank's to Caterham F1 Team (Formally Team Lotus) I will be applying for a media pass to the circuit.

Also in February I will be attending the Jerez circuit in Spain to photograph their sister GP2 Team with official media access.

South Bersted School Christmas Fayre

On Friday I was treated to a wonderful Christmas display at South Bersted School. Gifts, cakes, a BBQ, lights and trees were there to delight the boys and girls...but best of all...who should show up? None other than Father Christmas of course! The children were able to spend some time with the cheery fellow before being given a gift and having their photo taken. The school children had made displays of their own decorations and gifts for all to see. A lovely evening to get us in the festive spirit.

Helen & Paul

On Saturday I attended the wedding of Helen and Paul. Although far from local they had local links to the tiny church in Earnley (Chichester). Helen's parents were married there and 18 days later moved to Australia. Helen and Paul decided that it would be nice to come to the UK and marry in the same church....the wedding being the first in Earnley church for almost 30 years!

Helen wore a gorgeous gown with a modern and vintage feel to it while Paul and his best man sought the traditional top hat and tails.

This part gives me another opportunity to be artistic and creative, it also allows me to re look at the lovely photos from a couples day. Goodwood Revival

Today I was delighted to discover that I have been granted accreditation to attend and photograph this years Goodwood Revival. This event celebrates the great vehicles and dress of the 1940's, 50's and 60's. I will be joining in by dressing in costume of one era and also by using my parents 1963 Austin Healey Sprite as transport.

We were amazingly lucky with the weather on Saturday for the wedding of Lydia & Aaron. Although it was grey and overcast most of the day, the mood inside the church was pure happiness. The bride and groom decided on a multicultural catholic service to cater for the mix of English and Polish guests. The couple are away on honeymoon for a few weeks but I wanted to share a few photos from the day with you.

Team Lotus & Goodwood

I was delighted to discover recently that Team Lotus of F1 fame have used some of my images I sent them back in July. International Aperture Awards 2010

This was my first year of entry into the International Aperture Awards and I was delighted to discover that I had been awarded the score of 72 for two of my pictures and 68 for the third, (72 is just 3 points away from a recognised award). I found this a great boost to my confidence and a huge insperation to me to continue with what I love.

We were able to use the colours of the leaves and the great light that this season offers to get some fabulous shots. On Saturday I attended the wedding of a good friend of mine, Lisa. At Worthing registary office on a bright October morning she married her fiancee Paul with her sisters and daughter as bridesmaids. The colour scheme was purple with the bridesmaids in contrasting dresses and the bride in a stunning ivory gown. The reception was held at a local social club with a wonderful cake made by her grandfather and iced by her mum.

In July I photographed the wedding of Becki and Dave, Becki is an old school friend of mine and it was great to be part of her special day. Memories were roused when I discovered the venue was the same "childhood" church that our school always took us for easter and christmas celebrations. A very hot summers day provided us with some amazing photos both at the church and the reception venue (Shoreham Airport). Becki kept to tradition by sticking a sixpence to the bottom of her shoe as well as blue hair clips. Here are a few snaps.

Kids Unlimited Leavers Graduation

On the 26th July 2010 the oldest children from The Body Shop Kids Unlimited nursery "graduated" and had their leavers party, complete with magician, mortar boards, capes and scrolls. The children all posed individually with the manager and received their year books while photos were taken and then we arranged a group shop of all the children throwing the mortar boards in the air.

The weekend of July 3rd was the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex. I was lucky enough to gain entry for two of the four days this year and was able to gain entry to the paddock and the hill climb area. This provided me with a great view of the cars and drivers. My 4year old son was amazed to shake hands with Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg of F1 fame. Here are a couple of shots from the day of cars and driver Jarno Trulli from Lotus.

Castle Coombe Mighty Minis

May bank holiday Monday saw the Mighty Mini racing championships reach Castle Coombe and I was there to catch some of the action. With paddock access aswell I was able to get up close to some of the cars. For those of you who don't know, this is an amazing and relitivly cheap way to get into motorsport, get yourself a racing licence and a mini cooper (restrictions apply) and away you go with a bit of time and money.

Gracie's husband contacted me recently and asked if I would take photographs of their 1st baby bump.....so armed with a few sweets (who shall remain nameless) we got to work. Baby is due in March and so the happy parents will be contacting me again to arrange a baby's 1st year portrait session. On Saturday 22nd August I spent the day celebrating my parents 28th year of marriage, and what better way to celebrate than a renewal of vows...and that's exactly what they did. This time around they had everything they missed the 1st time. Brenda wore a gorgeous wedding gown that she chose, they had a lovely cake made and they had both their grandsons as page boys. They even got re-married in the church they originally wanted to marry in!

I spent a wonderful afternoon photographing the wedding of Mark & Jennifer at Chichester registry office and then the reception in The Vestry Hotel, south street Chichester. Thier 2 adorable daughters Maisey and Laura were bridesmaids. The weather did not put anyone off and we managed to get some outside shots in "The Cross". I look forward to having some of the photographs printed out.

We are also hoping to get together again once the weather is better for another chance to dress up and get some outdoor photos taken in Priory Park. I would just like to congratulate them and wish them a lovely honeymoon in Turkey.

Today I had the chance to photograph the wedding of my friend Paula & her fiance Michael. Paula wore a gorgeous white beaded strapless dress, while the men (including the grooms 3 boys) all wore cream suits. The weather was amazing and we had a lovely time taking shots on a roundabout in a local private estate, much to the amusement of the residents who rarely find a horse drawn carridge in the way. Paula also couldnt resist having some photo's taken with her beloved mini "Molly" whom she purchased from me almost 4 years ago.

Yes to all of you who know, Jack my beloved mini 25 has finally been finished. He is now in a lovely metalic Toyota metalic silver with irridecent red/green and gold fleck added which is subtle but looks stunning in the sunlight! Jack has been under a long restoration including most panels being replaced, a new headlining, carpets, and a new 1275 metro GTA engine. I was lucky enough to be able to track down a mini 25 steering wheel and have customised the interior trying to keep with the silver/grey & red theme, including custom gear knob and keyrings.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Warren at Mini Miracles in Fontwell, West Sussex for all the hard work and patience he has put into Jack. Mini Miracles is a small classic mini specialist who undertakes any work from a little welding to a full rebuild and spray!

Neil works & restors steam engines so these were a big feature of the wedding day as the groom drove himself tp the church in his engine and after the event the happy couple were taken to the reception on the back of one!!

On Friday afternoon I had the lovely chance to photograph Katherine and her 1st baby bump! Katherine was keen to try out many different poses and props including bubbles, fabrics & feathers.

Preganancy is a wonderful time for any women but so often the time is overlooked as a photography opportunity, however it is probably one of the best times due to the womens ever changing body and wonderful "glow".

Yesterday I spent a rather blustery time on Worthing seafront with Ruth. Ruth was wearing a gorgeous "Serenity Brides" ivory gown.

Trash the wedding dress is an American custom in which the bride gets the chance to wear her wedding dress again for photographs in un-traditional places. Althought Ruth is not yet married, she was more than happy to wear a dress and pose for me.

I spent a lovely morning with the parent and toddler group at Church Lane playgroup in Bognor today. They were celebrating Easter, making hats, decorating cards and searching for chocolate eggs!

The group meet every Monday morning (termtime only) 9am - 11am for a chat and a coffee. Newcomers very welcome, so pop in and say "hello".

Yesterday I spent a lovely morning photographing the wonderful Sheffield Park Station on the Bluebell railway line. They are currenty upgrading the engine shed and the model railway. At the Bluebell you can take a journey on one of the steam trains, on selected days they hold cream tea's, ploughmans lunches and even childrens afternoons with Punch & Judy shows!

Chichester Mini Club

Yesterday I had great fun taking photos of Chichester Mini Clubs members cars. This is a small friendly club for owners of the classic mini in the Chichester & Bognor area, they meet on the last Sunday of every month at the Earl Of March Pub in Lavant.

They were hoping to drum up some more interest in the club by getting a photo into the Mini World magazine and asked me if I would help by taking some shots. Here are a few of the choices to go in the magazine in the next issue.

Natalie and Tom

Back in July I had the honour of photographing the wedding of Natalie and Tom at St Stephens church in North Mundham near Chichester. The weather held out for us on the day and we managed to get some fantastic photographs in their garden.

Initially Natalie and Tom decided that they would design their own album using my photographs and ones they took on their honeymoon, but after seeing the results of the wedding photographs they decided to have an album designed and made by me.

This morning I received their album back from Graphistudio in Italy and I will have great pleasure in presenting it to them over the weekend.

Toyota Formula One Racing

I have just been notified that I have been grated access to attend various F1 test sessions and races in conjunction with Toyota F1 team. I will be in regular contact with the teams media representative who will inform me of dates of events which the public can not attend.

This allows me to photograph the cars, facilities and drivers and use the images taken for my own purposes. I have been invited to attend the launch of the new 2009 car TF109 in Portugal on January 15th, unfortunately I will be unable to attend the launch, but I will be attending various test sessions throughout next season.

Sydney-mae Fundraiser

On the 22nd November 2008 I was invited to photograph the Sydney-mae Fundraiser at Martlets Hall Burgess Hill. This event was held by Aimee Wiggins as a means of raising funds for the special care baby unit in Burgess Hill and the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton after her daughter Sydney-mae was born this May. This charity event was particularly close to my heart as I was transfered to the TMBU as a special care baby when I was born at 28 weeks premature in 1982. The unit has just undergone a huge overhaul and I will be taking photographs of it in the new year. To date the event raised over £6000 and is still taking donations. Mini Miracles

Today I have spent some time with Warren at Mini Miracles in Fontwell West Sussex photographing one of his latest completed restorations. Mini Miracles is a classic mini specialist situated just off the A27 near Chichester. Warren carries out all kinds of work on mini's from MOT & servicing to full restoration and resprays. Currently my own car is in his garage awaiting completion! I will be photographing Warren & Mini Miracles in a few weeks time for some promotional materials for the company.
